The Flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), John Dramani Mahama, has stated that Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, and the New Patriotic Party (NPP) , will lose the 2024 elections in the Ashanti Region, even if he relocates his entire family there.
Speaking during the “Enti Asanteman Aseda Ni” walk in Kumasi, Mahama said that after announcing his visit to the Ashanti Region, Dr. Bawumia also scheduled a two-week tour of the region.
According to Mahama, his campaign team decided to visit other regions first to avoid clashing with Dr. Bawumia’s tour.
However, Mahama noted that after he confirmed his visit to Kumasi, Dr. Bawumia hurriedly returned to the Ashanti Region.
He stated that, even if Bawumia brings Hajia Samira Bawumia and all his family members, including his bed to the Ashanti Region, the NDC will win this year’s elections.

Mahama expressed surprise at the massive turnout during the Kumasi walk, attributing the enthusiasm to the growing support for the NDC in the Ashanti Region.
He claimed the high turnout was why Dr. Bawumia and his NPP team can’t sleep and are frequently referencing him in their statements.
Mahama added, something extraordinary is going to happen in this year’s election.
