The Director of Operations for the Progressive People’s Party (PPP), Devine Nkrumah, has reacted to the incumbent government’s defeat in the country’s December 7, 2024, general elections.

According to him, the NPP contributed to their own downfall due to their actions and inactions.

Speaking on the Angel Morning Show on Wednesday, December 11, 2024, Mr. Nkrumah stated that it was evident the NPP would lose the election because they refused to be a listening government.

“Despite all the wrongs of the NPP government, whenever they were questioned, they would jump to defend themselves with the Free SHS policy. It sounded as disrespectful, as though they were unwilling to listen,” he said.

He added, “Do you know what the NPP thought? They believed everything could be achieved with money, that once you have money, you’re good to go.”

Devine Nkrumah urged political leaders to mind their conduct when in power, emphasizing that money is not the ultimate solution.

“As I conclude, what I want to say is that money is not everything,” he opined.
