Devine Nkrumah of the Progressive People’s Party (PPP) has expressed optimism about the new direction of the country under the incoming President John Dramani Mahama administration.
He stated that the landslide victory Ghanaians gave to the National Democratic Congress (NDC) reflects the people’s frustration with the New Patriotic Party (NPP) government.
Mr. Nkrumah emphasized that the election outcome is a clear sign of hope for the country’s restoration under the next government.
“This election has given me hope that conscientious Ghanaians, who have the country at heart and are smarter, are the majority. The minority are those who don’t really care and take things for granted. This gives me confidence that Ghana will rise and be great again,” he said on Angel TV.
He used the platform to advise President-elect John Dramani Mahama not to repeat the mistakes made by the outgoing NPP administration.
He highlighted nepotism and favoritism towards friends and cronies as key pitfalls to avoid, urging the incoming government to prioritize national interests instead.
