“Nobody can sack me, I’m fully back into NDC politics” – Koku Anyidoho announces

Koku Anyidoho is challenging Mahama to debate Bawumia

The Founder and Leader of the Atta Mills Institute, Koku Anyidoho, has made a significant observation regarding the ongoing national debate over calls for the removal of the Chief Justice (CJ).

There have been suggestions presented to President-elect John Mahama to remove the CJ upon assuming office.

However, Professor Stephen Adei has cautioned against politically motivated actions in this regard, urging adherence to due process.

“If you touch the Chief Justice through political means rather than due process, the nation will pay a heavy price. It’s not just about the individual but the undermining of the system itself,” Professor Adei was quoted as saying by GraphicOnline.

Adding his voice to the debate, Koku Anyidoho, a former Deputy General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), advised the President-elect to consider these suggestions carefully.

He recalled a similar scenario faced by the late President John Evans Atta Mills.

According to Mr. Anyidoho, despite immense pressure during his tenure, President Mills refused to act on a petition by Justice Kpegah to remove Chief Justice Georgina Wood.

“President Mills was confronted with a similar situation when he took office, and Justice Kpegah petitioned for the removal of CJ Georgina Wood. President Mills simply REFUSED!” Anyidoho revealed.

As a critical voice within the NDC Mr Anyidoho continues to hold on to the virtuous principles that the late President Atta-Mills stood for in politics and the national discourse.

According to him, he remains committed to the principles he has always been known for.
