President-elect John Dramani Mahama has ended his visit to several parts of the continent following his election as Ghana’s next president.
The visit was part of his commitment to fostering strong relationships with Ghana’s neighbors and other nations across West Africa and the continent at large.
During the tour, Mr. Mahama met with several Heads of State, including President Umaro Sissoco Embaló of Guinea-Bissau, President Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo of Equatorial Guinea, and General Brice Clotaire Oligui Nguema of Gabon.
He emphasized the importance of the visit, noting that he engaged the leaders in discussions centered on shared values and collaborative efforts for the continent’s continued success.
“My discussions with the various leaders reaffirmed our shared values and aspirations for progress across the continent.
Our conversations focused on exploring opportunities for collaboration in trade, security, and sustainable development, ensuring that our partnerships benefit not only our nations but the people we serve,” he said.
John Mahama reiterated his commitment to collaborative governance and added;
“I will continue to work both within and beyond our subregion toward a brighter, more prosperous future for our youth and the vulnerable.”
