Head Coach for Kumasi Asante Kotoko, Dr. Prosper Nartey Ogum, has revealed the agony associated with the playing body following the death of popular fan, Francis Yaw “Nana Pooley” Frimpong.

According to the tactician, the playing body has found it difficult to overcome the passing of the deceased who until his sudden demise attended every single match of the team.

Prosper Ogum made this observation following the return of the Ghana Premier League in a post-match interview on Sunday, March 9, 2025, after his side recorded a 2-0 victory over Legon Cities 2-0 at the Baba Yara Stadium.

“It has not been easy if you look at how associated we are all to Pooley. It has not been easy trying to overcome it-his death-Sometimes, it looks like it’s a dream but it’s a reality.

It was very difficult to overcome if you look at the body language of the players, it wasn’t that pleasant and it was a sad body language that they exhibited throughout,” he said.

He highlighting the gesture when the playing body displayed a banner to pay their last respect to the deceased as a point that brought emotions upon the entire team.

“I felt it some much today when we were doing the minute silence…so may he rest in peace.”
