Management of Kumasi Asante Kotoko has refuted claims suggesting that the club will participate in an international football tournament after the ongoing Ghanaian football season.
The Porcupine Warriors stated that the reports suggesting their participation in a supposed competition in Nigeria are “false” and should be “disregarded.”
“We can confirm that these claims are entirely false and the public should disregard it,” Asante Kotoko said in a club statement signed by Communications Director, Samuel Sarfo Duku Esq.
According to the Ghana Premier League outfit, the club remains committed and focused on its remaining matches to complete the ongoing season, both in the top-flight league and their FA Cup final.
The statement, however, urged the club’s supporters to remain calm, assuring them that any official fixtures will be communicated when necessary through an official communiqué.
