The Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Brong Region, Kwame Baffoe Abronye, has taken a swipe at the party’s leadership, particularly its Disciplinary Committee.
Abronye described the NPP’s Disciplinary Committee as a “Kangaroo” panel.
His reaction follows the circulation of a letter, signed by the party’s General Secretary, Justin Kodua Frimpong, referring him to the committee over certain public utterances.
Responding to the purported referral, Abronye rubbished the content of the letter and dismissed its relevance.
“If the letter circulating on social media is anything to go by. I must state on record that I will not appear before any Kangaroo Disciplinary Committee,” Abronye expressed.
He further stated that he is prepared to sacrifice his position if that is what it takes to protect the party’s interests, emphasizing that he will not stop speaking out.
“I’m willing to sacrifice everything for the right thing to be done in the party if it means losing everything including my position as regional chairman,” he added.
Abronye made it clear that he does not need a position to remain relevant in the party, stating that he will continue to voice his opinions without fear.
“I will continue to speak my mind on my mind on issues within the party,” he said, warning that he cannot be intimidated to keep quiet.
