The Prime Minister of the Republic of India, Narendra Modi, will embark on a two-day official visit to Ghana from Wednesday, July 2, to Thursday, July 3, 2025, the Office of the President has announced.

The Presidency said, the plan visit highlights the warm and longstanding friendly relations between Ghana and India, as well as the importance both nations place on strengthening their strategic partnership.

Parts of the itinerary of the visit include a bilateral meeting between Prime Minister Modi and President John Dramani Mahama, which will be the key of the visit.

They are expected set to also explore collaborative opportunities across a wide range of sectors including trade, investment, agriculture, technology, education, healthcare, and energy.

Discussions will also touch on pressing “regional and global issues of mutual interest,” explained in a statement signed by Felix Kwakye Ofosu, Spokesperson to the President and Minister for Government Communications.

The statement added that key moments during the visit will include the signing of bilateral agreements aimed at consolidating cooperation frameworks between the two countries.

“The visit by Prime Minister Modi is expected to strengthen bilateral ties, foster deeper economic cooperation, and solidify the bonds of friendship between the peoples of Ghana and India.”
