The newly elected Member of Parliament (MP) for Ablekuma North Constituency, Ewurabena Aubynn, has extended her heartfelt gratitude to the Ghana Police Service (GPS) and the Media for their roles in ensuring a successful re-run of the parliamentary elections.
She highlighted that without the media, their voices wouldn’t have been heard, underscoring the importance of a free press in amplifying the people’s concerns; and also their vigilant oversight in preventing electoral irregularities.
“The police, I think the media did a great job during the main collation; the media put so many things in place, if not for you, our voices wouldn’t have been heard, I am grateful about what the media did,” she said on Friday, July 11, 2025.
Ewurabena Aubynn attributed her victory to God’s will, saying that the election results was a reflection of God’s plan, and she accepted the outcome with humility.
She pledged to work assiduously to build on the constituency’s progress, and to address the needs and the concerns of her constituents.
“What Ablekuma North wanted was change and so since the change has come, we will work with it so we will keep improving,” she said.
