Actress, Akuapem Poloo has spoken out about her recent appearance on the Savage Room show hosted by Afroculture, where a misunderstanding led to a heated exchange between the two.
Akuapem Poloo recounted the incident in an interview stating, ”He went to the extent of asking me if my mom breastfed me because I look too lane. And even if I’m lane, I just gave birth and I’m also breastfeeding my child, so it was a big insult to me.”
Akuapem Poloo expressed her outrage over the host’s question, which she felt was disrespectful to her and her mother, who was present during the show.
“If I had not reacted, my mom would have thought I planned with the host to disrespect her, which I can’t do because she’s all I have,” she added.
The actress also highlighted the double standard, noting that Afroculture has interviewed numerous celebrities without asking similar questions about their families.
“I didn’t see him asking them about their kids or parents on the show, so why must he disrespect me,” she questioned.
Akuapem Poloo further revealed that what triggered her anger was when Afroculture asked if her 11-year-old son was in a relationship.
“My son is a child, what will he think when he gets to see the video online? He might think he can date at his age,” she said, expressing concern for her son’s well-being.
