The nine individuals formally charged by the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) over an alleged extortion scandal at the National Petroleum Authority (NPA) have been arraigned for prosecution.
In an update, the OSP said the accused persons, including former NPA Chief Executive Mustapha Hamid, will appear before Criminal Division 3 of the High Court.
These court proceedings, it noted, is scheduled for Wednesday, July 23, 2025.
According to the OSP, “All accused persons are currently on inquiry bail,” it said on X formerly of Twitter.
The accused individuals, six persons and three companies have been implicated in the alleged GHC280 million extortion and scandal at the NPA.
