Former Deputy General Secretary of National Democratic Congress (NDC), Samuel Koku Anyidoho, has commended President John Dramani Mahama for pledging to renovate and upgrade the abandoned John Evans Atta Mills Memorial Library in Cape Coast.
Reacting to the announcement, Mr. Anyidoho described the pledge as respectful and welcomed it with gratitude.
“In all honesty, President Mahama was not responsible for the incompletion of this project. He was made to cut the sod and commission the project but did not know the contractor was not paid. I am glad he has promised to complete it. Prez Mahama, I salute you sir in the interest of Ghana and your former boss. God bless you sir,” he stated.
He further expressed willingness to personally thank Mr. Mahama, saying, “President Mahama, respectfully, if you allow me to meet you, I will thank you for pledging to renovate and complete this project.
“If this is true, hallelujah. Thank you President Mahama,” he added.
Mr. Anyidoho’s reaction comes in the wake of President Mahama’s renewed commitment to ensure the completion and restoration of the memorial facility dedicated to the late President John Evans Atta Mills.
