The Ghana Football Association (GFA), in collaboration with the Ministry of Youth and Sports and Recreation, has secured a broadcast deal with Adesa Productions for the upcoming 2025/26 Ghana Premier League (GPL).
Announcing the partnership on Thursday, July 31, 2025, the GFA said the agreement is aimed at elevating the media profile and visibility of the GPL among the general public.
Under the deal, Adesa Productions will handle the production and broadcast of GPL matches.
The package also includes match highlight shows and other programming designed to bring football closer to the wider community.
Speaking at the unveiling, GFA President Kurt Okraku said the initiative would help showcase players’ talents to a broader audience.
“This is just the beginning. Our clubs will also have access to new digital platforms for marketing, streaming, and sponsorship activations. Fans will experience more engaging match days, players will benefit from better exposure, and advertisers will be drawn to a premium product with wide reach,” he said.
Mr. Okraku also emphasized the association’s intent to position football as a sustainable economic venture.
“Through this initiative—in partnership with Adesa Productions Limited, the private sector, and with the full backing of government—we aim to make football in Ghana not just a passion but a viable economic enterprise.”
