The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has unveiled the full fixture list for the 2025/26 Premier League season, offering fans and clubs a first look at the highly anticipated match-ups that will shape the new campaign.
Defending champions Gold Stars FC will kick off their title defence with a home fixture against Bechem United at the Duns Park in Bibiani, setting the tone for what promises to be another thrilling season of top-flight football in Ghana.
Accra Hearts of Oak, aiming to bounce back from a mixed 2024/25 season, will open their campaign at home against newly promoted Hohoe United, while arch-rivals Asante Kotoko travel to Berekum Chelsea in their opening encounter.
Match Day 1 also features intriguing away assignments for former champions: Medeama SC visit Young Apostles, while FC Samartex make a trip to face Vision FC.
Premier League returnees Swedru All Blacks FC and Eleven Wonders FC begin their campaigns on the road, visiting Nations FC and Basake Holy Stars, respectively. Heart of Lions, last season’s runners-up, will host Dreams FC in their first fixture while Karela United entertain Aduana FC.
The first leg of the iconic clash between Accra Hearts of Oak and Asante Kotoko SC is scheduled for Match Day 5 at the Accra Sports Stadium, with the reverse fixture set for Match Day 22 at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in Kumasi.
The 2025/26 Premier League season will kick off on the weekend of September 12, 2025, and end on the weekend of May 23/24, 2026.
The dates are in alignment with the 23rd FIFA World Cup 2026, scheduled for June 11 to July 19, 2026, ensuring that all elite domestic competitions conclude before the commencement of the global showpiece.
With Congress set for Tuesday August 12, 2025, the Football Association has set the Premier League to start on time and end in May 2026, in line with the approved FIFA calendar for all Member Associations.
Premier League matches will be played on weekends, with midweek dates reserved for outstanding fixtures.
