The Movement for Change has extended its solidarity to the nation following the tragic helicopter crash that occurred near Adansi Sikaman on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, which killed eight.
The affected persons included five senior government officials and three members of the Ghana Armed Forces.
In a statement signed by the party’s spokesperson, Solomon Owusu, the Movement described the incident as a moment of national mourning and unspeakable sorrow.
“We extend our deepest condolences to the families of the departed whose lives were lost in the line of duty. To His Excellency President John Dramani Mahama, the Government of the Republic of Ghana, the leadership of the Ghana Armed Forces, and the National Democratic Congress, we offer solidarity in this dark hour. The Movement for Change stands with you in national unity, prayer, and remembrance.”
The Movement for Change said the tragic loss should reflect as a sacred nature of responsibility demands that we act not out of convinience or pride, but with reverence for the trust placed in us.
“Let this tragedy remind us all leaders and citizens alike that our lives are fragile, our responsibilities sacred, and our duty to this nation greater than ourselves. May we rise from this sorrow with renewed resolve to build a Ghana that honours the sacrifice of those we have lost.”
