Presidential hopeful and former Member of Parliament for Assin Central, Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, has announced the filing of his nomination for the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) flagbearer race this week.
In a notice released on his official platforms, Mr. Agyapong disclosed that the filing will take place on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, at 1:00 PM at the NPP’s National Headquarters in Accra.
He noted that his campaign is anchored on three core values; patriotism, honesty, and discipline. According to him, these principles will be the driving force in uniting the party and reviving confidence among Ghanaians.
“This campaign is built on three pillars: Patriotism, Honesty and Discipline. Together, we will unite our party, restore hope, strengthen our economy and build a Ghana that works for every citizen,” the notice read.
Mr. Agyapong further emphasized the urgency of his vision, declaring, “The future begins now.”
His filing will mark a significant step in his presidential ambition as he prepares to contest the paty’s presidential primaries ahead of the 2028 general elections.
