Former Kumasi Asante Kotoko player Charles Taylor has urged the club to improve their performance ahead of their upcoming football season, especially in the Africa campaign.
Speaking on the team’s current form, Taylor stated the team needed to be purposeful both domestically and internationally.
“Asante Kotoko must improve their game before the Africa campaign. As a lifelong Kotoko fan and former player, I will urge the team to step up if they are to make an impact in the competition,” he advised.
He expressed concern over the club’s recent displays, adding that he doesn’t see any seriousness in the team, considering their output at the just-ended GHALCA Top 4.
“I saw a lot of blunders; the players were just playing for playing’s sake. A lot of things must change before the competition starts,” Taylor continued.
Kumasi Asante Kotoko will be representing Ghana in the CAF Confederation Cup following their triumph in last season’s FA Cup.
