The Ghana Education Service (GES) has refuted claims circulating in sections of the media that Michael Owusu Afriyie, popularly known as Teacher Kwadwo, has been reinstated into the Service.

According to the GES, there is no such development and clarified that the reports are false and should be disregarded by the public.

The Service emphasized that Mr. Owusu Afriyie has not been reinstated following his dismissal in 2021.

“The Ghana Education Service wishes to state that the report is false. Mr. Owusu Afriyie has not been reinstated,” an official statement issued by the Head of Public Relations, Mr. Daniel Fenyi, the GES stated.

GES further noted that if Mr. Owusu Afriyie considers his dismissal contestable, he is encouraged to submit a formal petition in writing for due consideration.
