Presidential hopeful for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Kennedy Ohene Agyapong, has expressed his belief in the opposition party’s chances of victory in the next general elections with a strong unifying foundation.

According to him, if the party conducts its internal affairs with unity and discipline, recapturing power in 2028 is a sure bet.

“My message is simple: our strength lies in unity and unity is built on fairness. When the Elections Committee, National Executives, Regional and Constituency Executives, aspirant and supporters work together with honesty and respect, we create the foundation for peace within our party.”

He made this known in an official Facebook post following the submission of his nomination on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, to contest the party’s flagbearer race schedule for January 31, 2026.

Touching on rebuilding the party to win the hearts of Ghanaians, he preached against sabotage and biases.

“Let us avoid backbiting and division. Let us embrace fairness and inclusiveness,” he advised.

Mr. Agyapong was adamant that “With unity and discipline, victory in 2028 is not just possible, it is certain.”

He reinforced his message with a mantra which reads, “Together, we win. Together, we build. Together, we move Ghana forward.”

He also took the opportunity to thank the party’s elections committee, executives, and most especially the supporters who showed up to support him.

“I am deeply grateful to the Elections Committee, National Executives, Regional and Constituency Executives and to the thousands of supporters who showed up in their numbers despite the heat and the crowd.”

The former Assin Central Member of Parliament stated that the unwavering love and commitment of party supporters at all times “humbles” him.
