A tragic incident occurred at Ashanti New Town in the Kumasi Metropolis of the Ashanti Region, where a 20-year-old man, Kwadwo Bright, was stabbed to death during a fight over a plastic chair.
The suspect, identified as 21-year-old Baker, a friend of the deceased, is currently on the run.
A witness, in an interview with Angel TV News reporter Bismark Mensah, said the incident happened on Thursday, September 4, 2025.
According to the mother of the deceased, Georgina Yeboah, the altercation began at a snooker game center, where her son and the suspect had a disagreement over a plastic chair.
Although the matter was reportedly settled, the suspect later attacked and stabbed Kwadwo in the neck, leading to his death.
Mrs. Yeboah recounted that she heard people screaming about a young man being stabbed and rushed to the scene, only to find her son in critical condition.
He was quickly taken to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital, where doctors pronounced him dead.
The police have taken over the case and launched an investigation, while the suspect remains at large.
