The Ghana Education Service (GES) has started placing Junior High School into Senior High Schools (SHS) and Technical Vocational Training Schools.

In a statement released on their official Facebook page on Tuesday, September 9, 2025, the GES emphasised that securing a school placement for students through this process is absolutely free.

The Ministry of Education, through the GES, warned parents and guardians against paying money to any individual, including ministry officials or third parties, for assistance with the school placement process.

“If you encounter a person asking, for money, report them immediately to the Ghana Police Service or the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP),” the statement cautioned.

For any inquiries or concerns regarding the computerised school placement process, parents and guardians can contact the CSSPS secretariat.

The contact numbers provided are 0541548223 for calls and 024 490 8957 for WhatsApp.

The GES stressed that cooperation from the public is crucial in ensuring a fair process for all students during the computerised placement.
