The Chief Executive Officer of PIWAK Natural Health, Prince Mortorti, has extended financial support worth GH₵300,000 to 300 market women within the Ga East Municipality.
Speaking during the presentation ceremony, Dr. Mortorti explained that the initiative formed part of PIWAK’s corporate social responsibility aimed at empowering women and strengthening local businesses.

He acknowledged the invaluable role of market women in sustaining the Ghanaian economy, describing them as the backbone of community trade and development.
Dr. Mortorti further noted that most market traders operate without government assistance and therefore deserve recognition and support.
He appealed to the government to collaborate with the Member of Parliament for Dome-Kwabenya, Elikplim Akurugu, to introduce policies and programmes that would uplift the living standards of residents in the constituency.

In her remarks, the MP for Dome-Kwabenya, Elikplim Akurugu, expressed profound gratitude to PIWAK Natural Health and Dr. Mortorti for their generosity.
She described the donation as timely and impactful, adding that it would go a long way to ease the financial challenges faced by many traders.
The MP also called on other philanthropists and corporate organizations to emulate PIWAK’s example by investing in community development initiatives.
She commended the market women for their continuous sacrifices and contributions toward nation-building.
The beneficiary traders expressed their heartfelt appreciation to PIWAK Natural Health and Dr. Mortorti for the support.
According to them, the donation would help boost their businesses and improve their livelihoods, assuring that they would make good use of the funds to sustain their trades.
