Former Convention People’s Party (CPP) Chairperson, Hajia Ibrahim Hussein Hamdatu, alleges that Driver and Vehicle Licensing Authority (DVLA) boss, Julius Neequaye Kotey, cannot provide adequate evidence to support his bribery claims.
She argued that the DVLA Chief Executive Officer (CEO), cannot substantiate his claims with proof.
This, Hajia Hamdatu is of the view that the decision of the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) to invite Mr. Kotey is unfit.
“I don’t know whether he said it so he could be praised by his appointing authority,” Hajia added in a panel discussion on the Angel Morning Show (AMS) on Wedmesday, October 29, 2025.
According to Hajia Hamdatu, if no CCTV captured the money, then the DVLA boss should have pretended to collect the money and sent it to the OSP’s office as evidence for investigation.
She hoped and prayed that there is enough evidence to support Mr. Kotey’s bribery assertion.
However, she further suggested that most government appointees need orientation because some of their speeches prove they are not capable and ready do their jobs.
