Five persons reportedly feared dead, while four others sustained injuries in a road accident at Asikuma Junction in the Asuogyaman District of the Eastern Region.
This was confirmed by the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) in an official Facebook post on Tuesday, November 4, 2025, while reporting on the incident.

According to the Service, a rescue team from the Peki Fire Station, led by AstnO Fred Aganu and accompanied by the Acting District Fire Officer, ADO I Godwin Gbedemah, was dispatched to the scene following a distress call.
The accident involved a grey Toyota Noah with registration number GX 422-25 and a tipper truck with registration number GT 725-19.

The GNFS report indicated that out of the nine victims, four, including a minor, were rescued and transported to the Peki Government Hospital by the National Ambulance Service.
However, the remaining five were found unresponsive and were handed over to the police.
