Deputy Minister for Defence, Ernest Brogya Genfi, has reassured Ghanaians of the country’s commitment to regional peace and the operational efficiency of the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) during a recent address to Parliament.
Speaking on the status of the Falcon 900 Executive Aircraft, which has been undergoing scheduled maintenance since March 2025, he stated that the aircraft will only return to Ghana after completing all required post-maintenance tests and certifications, ensuring full compliance with international aviation safety standards.

He also highlighted Ghana’s active engagement with Economic Community Of West African States (ECOWAS) and African Union (AU) partners in monitoring the evolving political situation in Togo, underscoring the nation’s dedication to regional stability.
He emphasized the Ministry’s zero-tolerance policy on misconduct within the Ghana Armed Forces, stressing that professionalism remains key to the institution’s global reputation.
Mr. Genfi further announced plans to establish a new military training school in the Nkoyan-Alavanyo area, acknowledging sensitivities surrounding land acquisition and assuring Parliament of continued stakeholder engagement.
