Presidential Aide at the Office of the President, Rosemond Obeng, says the decision by the military hierarchy to hold the recent recruitment exercise at the El-Walk Sports Stadium was wrong.
She explained that the El-Walk Sports Stadium wasn’t the best choice for the recruitment exercise and suggested that places like Independence Square or Burma Camp, which have different parks, would have made the exercise more suitable.

In a panel discussion on the Angel Morning Show (AMS), Madam Rosemond proposed that the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF) should have conducted the recruitment exercise in batches, considering.
“The applicants are three folds -Army, Navy and Air Force- so they could have been separated that way. Streamlining it by separating them into batches could have also been possible,” she stressed on Thursday, November 13, 2025.
Ms. Obeng also suggested that extending the recruitment exercise over a month to enable them handle about 200 applicants daily, would’ve been a better approach than what the Ghana Armed Forces opted for.
