The Ghana Gold Board (GoldBod) has issued a press statement denying allegations of incurring losses exceeding GHC3 billion in its first year of operations.
The statement, released on Monday, November 17, 2025, refutes a publication by Asaaseradio, labelling the claims as “false and deliberately contrived” to undermine the organization’s successes.
“The GoldBod wishes to put on record that the publication under reference is entirely false and deliberately contrived to undermine the successes and significant contribution of the GoldBod to the revitalisation of Ghana’s economy,” the statement said.
GoldBod asserts it has made significant surpluses since establishment and will publish quarterly financial statements on its official website to demonstrate its financial health.
The board urges the public to disregard the said report and calls on the media outlet to retract the statement and apologize.
The statement expresses GoldBod’s commitment to transparency with financial reports.
