A delegation comprising members of the Minority Caucus of the 9th Parliament, representing the Northern Sector, has paid a courtesy call on former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
The members representing the Northern, North East, and Savanna regions embark on the visitation to the former Stateman’s office in Labone, Accra, on Tuesday, November 25, 2025.
The delegation included several Members of Parliament (MPs) who had previously served in his government in various capacities.

In a post on his official socials, Akufo-Addo disclosed that they had a fruitful discussion during the meeting, which focused on areas of mutual interest and concern to both the nation and the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
“Our discussions centered on areas of mutual interest and concern to the nation and our party,” he noted.
Former President Akufo-Addo used the occasion to commend the Minority MPs for their dedication and outstanding representation of their constituents in Parliament.

He encouraged them to continue their stellar work, noting that their contributions have been of “immeasurable benefit to their constituencies and the nation.”
Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, who served as Ghana’s 13th President from January 2017 to January 2025, peacefully handed over power to the National Democratic Congress (NDC’s) John Mahama on January 7, 2025 after the incumbent NPP lost power amid the unpopularity of his administration.
