New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) chairman for Tema West Constituency, Kwasi Opoku Bosompem, has condemned what he says are offensive comments by former Minister for Works and Housing, Samuel Atta Kyea, which were supposedly directed at one of the party’s Presidential hopefuls, Kennedy Agyapong.
Atta Akyea speaking at a recent gathering of party supporters at Mpraeso in the Eastern region, warned against electing anyone who may embarrass Ghana on the international stage.
He cautioned delegates not to “make a mistake and elect someone who will insult world leaders when he travels to the United Nations”.
Speaking Thursday, November 27, 2025 on the Angel Morning Show, however, Mr Opoku, who is a lead campainger for Mr Agyapong said such comments can never undermine the latter’s integrity, adding, his candidate remains admirable and unwavering.
He added that the President hopeful is too focused to be distracted, and the accusations were entirely unfounded.
He described Atta Kyea as “a coward” who has been at the Bar for over two decades but has very little to show for that.
