Sefwi Anyinabrim in the Western North Region is set to host the third edition of the major community health initiative, “Walk With Sports Doctor,” on Christmas Day, Thursday, December 25, 2025.
The event will follow its traditional route, starting from Sefwi Anyinabrim and ending at Sefwi Boako, all within the municipality.

The annual walk, launched in 2023, has become a tradition, drawing massive crowds and numerous high-profile dignitaries. Its successful second edition last year also saw strong dignitary attendance and a memorable performance by young musical artiste Supa Sandy, whose powerful voice energized participants.

This year’s event is particularly significant as it merges with a four-day homecoming celebration in Sefwi Anyinabrim, featuring a lineup of activities including football competitions, a children’s party, a clean-up exercise, and a youth seminar.
The focal point of the community’s anticipation is their native son, Meshack Nkrumah, popularly known as “Sports Doctor.” A sports journalist with Angel FM/TV in Accra, Mr. Nkrumah is celebrated for using his platform to highlight his Sefwi roots and promote upcoming musical talent from the region.
Ahead of the much-anticipated event, he stated that “I am overwhelmed by the love from my community,” Mr. Nkrumah said, hinting at a “surprise artiste” for the day and calling for further support for the initiative.

The Christmas Day walk is expected to attract a host of dignitaries and media personalities, including Polo Esposito of De-BËÃT FM and DJ Abigy Abigy of Faith FM. Prophet Dr. Wisdom Aha will also return, having participated in the inaugural edition.
Marking a significant growth in the event’s stature, it has secured its first official corporate sponsors. Partners include ABA Herbal Clinic, Mili Jay Hotels & Event Centre, Des’ev Fashion Academy, and Angel Rock Mixture, with more sponsors expected to join.
Following the walk, a grand durbar will be held to raise funds for a community project. The entire event will be documented, with a planned documentary to capture the festivities and the spirit of the homecoming.
