Delegates in the Amasaman Constituency are casting their votes in the ongoing New Patriotic Party (NPP) presidential primaries.
As of early morning, 1556 delegates were in the queue, with some having joined as early as 5:30 am.
EC Officer Mariam Gomda Ibrahim described the process as smooth, noting that the constituency was divided into two polling stations to facilitate efficient voting, given the large number of delegates.
Chief Superintendent Peter Agyei assured that security was tight, with 150 police officers deployed to monitor the exercise.
Some delegates who have cast their votes expressed their satisfaction with the process. The voting is expected to continue as scheduled.
