Black Stars’ first-choice goalkeeper, Benjamin Asare, has called on Ghanaians to continue rallying behind the national team as they prepare for the FIFA World Cup.
Asare indicated that the team’s success depends not only on their performance on the pitch but also on the unwavering support of the Ghanaian people.
“What we expect from Ghanaians is that they rally behind us with both support and prayers so that we can achieve our targeted aim at the FIFA World Cup,” he said during an interview on Angel FM, on Monday, Febraeury 2, 2026
The shot-stopper acknowledged the instrumental role fans played in helping the Black Stars secure qualification, describing their dedication as a driving force for the team.
He further entreated the public not to relent in their support, stressing that the love and commitment shown by Ghanaians remain deeply appreciated.
Ghana has been drawn in the same group alongside England, Panama, and Croatia for the global showpiece scheduled to take place in June and July.
