The Minister of Energy and Green Transition, Dr. John Jinapor, recently engaged in discussions with the Agence Française de Développement (AFD) aimed at enhancing cooperation within Ghana’s energy sector.
The meeting focused on both ongoing and future areas of collaboration, with particular emphasis on advancing reforms and investments that support sustainable growth and the transformation of the energy sector.
Dr. Jinapor commended AFD for its long-standing role as a reliable development partner for Ghana, especially its consistent support for energy infrastructure and policy development over the years.
He acknowledged the significant impact of their partnership, noting that AFD’s contributions have been pivotal in supporting Ghana’s energy development objectives.
Dr. Jinapor stressed the importance of continued collaboration as the government pursues initiatives to improve efficiency, expand access, and accelerate the transition toward sustainable and green energy solutions.
Both parties expressed optimism about further strengthening their partnership in line with Ghana’s broader development agenda and the shared goal of building a resilient and sustainable energy sector.
