The host of Anopa Bofo, Saddick Adams, known as Sports Obama, has underscored the urgent need for the Office of the Special Prosecutor (OSP) to investigate how all Majority Caucus Members of Parliament (MPs) secured their tickets in the 2024 elections.
His remarks follow widespread allegations against Ghana’s Ambassador to Nigeria, Mohammed Baba Jamal Ahmed, known as Baba Jamal, over alleged voter inducement in the just-ended National Democratic Congress (NDC) primaries in the Ayawaso East Constituency, in which he emerged winner.
Reacting to the issue, the astute broadcaster argued that members of the Majority Caucus are no exception and called on the OSP to launch full investigations into how they manoeuvred their way into Parliament.
“The NDC MPs who are speaking on Baba Jamal’s scandal, I will urge the OSP to investigate it because crime had no expiry date. Let’s go to Nanton, Daboya, Sanja, Nanja and let’s ask each delegate what they got during the NDC primaries, what did each candidate give,” he said while discussing the matter on Nyansapo, a segment of Anopa Bofoc on Abgel TV.
He alleged that all of them paid something in exchange for votes, stressing that there is no Majority MP who went through the primaries without giving out incentives.
“I can say that, if not all, most of them paid money to be there, before their elections which of them didn’t share items to win a vote, One guy gave out ‘Ludo’ and ‘Dame’,” he alleged, stressing on Monday, February 9, 2026.
He further revealed that a specific amount of money is required to become a Member of Parliament, referencing a disclosure by the Attorney General on the cost involved in attaining the position.
“Now if you do not have more than 5 million which is 50 billion old cedis you can’t become an MP,” he said.
