The New Patriotic Party (NPP) has announced plans to hold a National Thanksgiving Service following the peaceful and successful presidential primary that elected H.E. Dr. Mahamadu Bawumia as the party’s presidential candidate.
In a special invitation, the leadership of the NPP extended a warm call to members, supporters, sympathizers, and the general public to join in expressing gratitude to the Almighty God.
The service will be held under the theme: “Offer to God Thanksgiving” – Psalm 50:14.
The first event will be an Islamic Thanksgiving Service, scheduled for Friday, 13th February 2026, at the National Mosque in Kanda, Accra.
The service will begin at 12pm and will bring together Muslim leaders, party members, and supporters in prayer and thanksgiving.
This will be followed by an Interdenominational Church Service on Sunday, 15th February 2026, at the UPSA Auditorium. The service, also starting at 12pm, will unite Christian clergy, party faithful, and the wider public in worship and thanksgiving.
According to the party, the National Thanksgiving Service is expected to be graced by the Party’s Presidential Candidate, former Presidents, Christian and Muslim clergy, Party leaders.
Current and former Members of Parliament, former Ministers, former CEOs/MDs, MMDCEs, and other former government appointees are also expected to be in attendance.
