Minister of Transport, Joseph Bukari Nikpe, has called on aviation stakeholders to work together to ensure robust and effective security operations that meet international standards.
He made the call at the launch of the Aviation Security Culture Week, themed “Promoting a strong and dynamic security culture.”

The Minister assured that the government is committed to introducing advanced security technologies and modern equipment to enhance security and passenger facilitation at Ghana’s airports.

Ghana Airports Company Limited (GACL) Managing Director, Afriyie Opare described security culture as a way of life that every worker in the air transport ecosystem must embrace.

She commended the Aviation Security Department of GACL for its excellent performance during the recent ICAO Aviation Security Audit.

The event was attended by top officials, including the Chief of Air Staff, Director General of Ghana Civil Aviation Authority, and representatives from ICAO and security agencies.
