Ghanaian blogger, Kobby Kyei, has extended support to a woman who suffered a stroke and her 11-year-old son, whose health was reportedly affected after working at a galamsey site to cater for his mother.
The young boy is said to have developed eye complications due to exposure to harmful chemicals at the illegal mining site, drawing public concern over the family’s situation.
Speaking during a discussion on Angel TV on Wednesday, January 11, 2026, Mr. Kyee revealed that he visited the family in Adumasa last week after learning about their condition.
He said he was deeply moved by the challenges they were facing and decided to take immediate action.
According to him, he provided the family with essential food items and also purchased a plot of land for them.
He explained that a two-bedroom house is currently under construction and is expected to be completed soon to give the family a safe and secure place to live.
Mr. Kyei expressed appreciation to Angel TV/ FM for highlighting the family’s plight, noting that the media exposure helped attract donations from individuals both in Ghana and abroad.
“I am deeply thankful to everyone who has supported us during this endeavour, especially Angel TV, Masem TV, and the two boys who live in Adumasa. Your contributions have made a real difference in their lives,” he addressed.
He further disclosed plans to assist another elderly woman who has reportedly been abandoned by her family.
He is therefore appealing to the public for additional donations to support the new initiative.
Mr. Kyei also urged the public to show compassion and extend support to vulnerable people within their communities, particularly the aged and children.
