Ghana’s Black Princesses have advanced to the final round of qualifiers in their quest to secure a place at the upcoming FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup.
They achieved this after edging past South Africa with a 3–2 aggregate scoreline in a two-legged encounter.
The Princesses entered the second leg on level terms, having drawn 2–2 with South Africa at the Accra Sports Stadium.
In the decisive return fixture played on Saturday, February 14, 2026, in South Africa, the Princesses defied the odds to record a hard-fought 1-0 victory.
Priscilla Mensah’s decisive second-half strike sealed Ghana’s progression to the fourth round of the continent’s qualifiers.
Ghana now aims to book their eighth consecutive appearance at the biennial tournament, scheduled to take place in Poland in September.
