Three Ghanaian traders who were injured in a terrorist attack in Burkina Faso on Saturday, February 14, 2026, have been successfully evacuated by the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF).
The evacuation, according to GAF, was conducted on Tuesday, February 17, 2026.
In a statement, GAF stated that the mission forms part of the government’s coordinated humanitarian and security efforts.
It explained that the injured survivors have since been conveyed to the 37 Military Hospital in Accra for further medical assessment and treatment.
GAF extended its deepest condolences to the bereaved families, prayed for the repose of the souls of the deceased, and wished the injured a speedy recovery.
These surviving members are among the tomato traders who were caught up in the terrorist attack on Saturday, February 14.
However, seven have been confirmed dead, while others who fled the scene remain unaccounted for.
