The Ghana Health Service (GHS) has issued a statement denouncing recent violent attacks on its personnel while they were performing their professional duties.
In the statement, the Director-General, Dr. Samuel Kaba Akoriyea described the acts as “deeply concerning and unacceptable.”
The service affirmed its commitment to delivering the highest standard of service to patients and clients, emphasizing that mutual respect is essential to its mission.
The organization expects staff to be treated with dignity and respect at all times, and it will not tolerate any aggression, intimidation, or violence that jeopardizes the safety, well-being, or ability of employees to carry out their duties effectively.
The service declared that it stands firmly with its dedicated staff and will collaborate closely with security agencies to strengthen protective measures within its facilities.
