The management of the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital (KBTH) has interdicted two doctors and two nurses due to their failure to provide emergency care to a hit-and-run victim.
This decision follows the death of Charles Amissah, who reportedly succumbed to his injuries after being turned away by three separate hospitals while seeking urgent medical attention.
In accordance with established administrative procedures, a committee has been formed to conduct a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding this incident and the unfortunate death of the victim.
Pending the outcome of the committee’s work, the Board and Management urge all individuals connected to the matter to cooperate fully with the committee to ensure a fair and transparent inquiry.
They assured the public that the Korle Bu Teaching Hospital remains committed to transparency, accountability, and the delivery of quality healthcare services.
“Further information will be communicated upon the completion of the investigation,” it assured.
