The Management of Korle Bu Teaching Hospital has announced the interdiction of two doctors and two nurses over allegations of refusing to provide emergency medical care to a hit-and-run victim, leading to death after injuries.
The decision was contained in a statement issued by the Board and Management of the hospital on Monday, February 23, 2026, after a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the death of the victim.
Management called on all persons connected to the matter to cooperate fully with the committee to ensure a fair and transparent inquiry.
The hospital affirmed it commitment to transparency, accountability and delivery of quality health care services adding that further information will be communicated upon completion of the investigation.
