The Member of Parliament (MP) for Agona East, Queenstar Pokuah Sawyer, has presented 100 pieces of furniture and donated GH₵25,000 to Kwanyako Senior High Technical School (KWASTECH).

In her address at the handing over ceremony, she stated that the furniture is part of President John Dramani Mahama’s two-million desk project, initiated to enhance teaching and learning in schools across Ghana.

She highlighted that Agona East received 5,000 desks from the project, with KWASTECH benefiting from 100 of these pieces.

Expressing her heartfelt commitment to supporting Kwanyako, she stated, “I do things for Kwanyako wholeheartedly because this is my hometown.”

The MP assured the school’s community that the dining hall, classroom blocks, and boys’ dormitory projects, which have been stalled for years, will be completed within six months and ready for commissioning.

She also expressed her gratitude to President Mahama for the initiative, saying, “Through the lobbying skills of your headmistress, she has also asked for your dining hall to be completed so the next contractors that are coming to KWASTECH will finish your legacy project for you.”
