Veteran Ghanaian actor, Fred Amugi, has disclosed details of his past role in public service, revealing that he worked at the Finance Ministry during the administration of former President John Agyekum Kufuor.
Speaking in an interview, the celebrated actor stated that he served as the Director of Supply at the ministry and was stationed at the Osu Castle for eight years.
“I worked as the director of supply at the Finance Ministry under Kufuor for all these eight years at the Castle,” he said.
Mr. Amugi added that his time at the seat of government allowed him to witness different political eras, mentioning former Heads of State Jerry John Rawlings and Hilla Limann as part of the broader historical context of his experience.
The actor, known for his extensive contributions to Ghana’s film and theatre industry, noted that his public service role was a significant part of his professional journey before fully dedicating himself to the creative arts.
