The Ghana Police Service has conducted a route march in the Ayawaso East Constituency ahead of the upcoming by-election.
In a social media post released on its official page on Saturday, February 28, 2026 the Service said the exercise is aimed at ensuring peace, security, law and order before, during, and after the polls.
The Police explained that the operation had strong deployment of Police personnel drawn from various units, who marched through principal streets within the constituency to demonstrate readiness of any threat to public safety.
“The operation saw a strong deployment of Police personnel drawn from various units, who marched through principal streets within the constituency.
The exercise was designed to reassure residents, deter potential troublemakers, and demonstrate the readiness of the Service to respond swiftly to any security threat,” the statement noted.
The Service further reaffirmed its commitment to providing a safe environment for all stakeholders.
