GNFS rescues four accident victims at Kotokuraba

The Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) has rescued four victims involved in a car accident that occurred at Kotokuraba in Cape Coast on Wednesday, March 11, 2026.

According to a statement from the Service, the incident involved a Toyota Echo taxi with registration number GW 5934-14, which reportedly collided with a truck due to suspected brake failure.

The impact left both the taxi and the truck seriously damaged.

The GNFS noted that personnel from the Cape Coast Metropolitan Fire Station received the call at 10:28 a.m. and arrived at the scene within two minutes.

Upon arrival, the rescue team found four injured persons three (3) male and a female who were promptly transported to the Cape Coast Teaching Hospital and the Ewim Polyclinic for medical attention.

After rescuing the victims, firefighters cleared the accident scene and moved the vehicles to restore the free flow of traffic.

The Service also reaffirmed its commitment to promoting safety awareness and enhancing its emergency response efforts to safeguard lives and property across the country.
