Former Executive Secretary of the Creative Arts Agency’s Gyankroma Akufo-Addo has dismissed allegations circulating on social media that she received $25 million to undertake painting interchanges in Accra.
According to the daughter of former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, no such contract existed.
In a statement issued on 27 March 2026, Ms. Gyankroma described the allegations as “entirely absurd and false” and stressed that no such contract has ever existed, been offered, or awarded.
She clarified that the Art for all projects were privately conceived and executed through the Creative Arts Agency, funded through a combination of private sector support and personal contributions.
According to her, these facts have been publicly stated before and “remain unchanged.”
Ms. Gyankroma believes the misinformation was a calculated attempt to mislead the public and damage her reputation.
She disclosed that she has instructed her lawyers to take immediate legal action against individuals, platforms, and media outlets responsible for publishing and amplifying the claims.
“I will not allow deliberate misinformation to go unchallenged,” she emphasized.
