Supporters of Akosua Serwaa Fosu, widow of late Highlife legend, Daddy Lumba (Charles Kwadwo Fosu), have donated GH¢130,000 in a show of solidarity and admiration.
The donation, presented on March 30, 2026, was made by members of the Team Legal Wives Group, alongside fan groups including His Royal, Ashanti Queen, and Lion Nation.
In a video circulating on social media, the amount was handed over as a cheque to media personality and former beauty queen Adwoa Saah, who received it on behalf of Akosua Serwaa.
A spokesperson for the group described the gesture as a way of honouring her resilience and role as a source of inspiration.
“We said there is no way we can celebrate our mother without showing something. So we came up with GH¢130,000. We thank you, and we will forever love you,” the spokesperson said.
Receiving the donation, Adwoa Saah expressed gratitude on behalf of Akosua Serwaa, noting that the overwhelming support has not gone unnoticed.
“We have seen the love and support Ghana has shown us, and we thank you so much. Akosua Serwaa is seeing the love and is always praying for anyone who supports her,” she said.
She also used the moment to call for peace and unity, urging supporters to focus on compassion rather than conflict.
“We are not here to fight, we are just showing love,” she added.
The donation comes in the wake of ongoing tensions surrounding events organised in memory of Daddy Lumba, which have led to legal disputes and disagreements among parties involved.
Despite the challenges, a separate event held on March 29 in honour of Akosua Serwaa was successfully organized, further highlighting the strong support base she continues to enjoy.
