Ghana Premier League outfit Hohoe United Football Club has announced its official withdrawal from the ongoing 2025/26 campaign.
In a statement released on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, the club said the decision was reached after an emergency board meeting.
According to the Hohoe-based side, the decision was a difficult one.
“The Board of Hohoe United Football Club, after an emergency meeting held today, has arrived at the difficult decision to withdraw the club from the ongoing 2025/26 Ghana Premier League,” It announced.
The statement further noted that the club plans to formally communicate the decision to the Ghana Football Association.
The GFA is yet to react to the development at the time of filing this report.
Hohoe United joined the Premier League prior to the start of the current season.
